Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified individual capable of supervising and managing daily Operations & Maintenance activities at desalination and water distribution plants. The candidate will ensure pumps, motors, valves, and associated facility equipment operate safely, reliably, and efficiently. This role requires providing technical guidance to the maintenance team, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, and monitoring system performance to support uninterrupted water supply operations while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
Implement and monitor daily maintenance activities of desalination and distribution water plants. Provide technical guidance and support to the maintenance team to enhance skills and knowledge. Ensure full compliance with maintenance procedures, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. Monitor and analyze pumps, motors, and associated equipment to optimize performance and resolve issues promptly. Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for water facilities and equipment. Coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure timely execution of tasks. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and manage spare parts and tools. Conduct inspections, implement quality control, and identify areas for improvement. Prepare and submit periodic maintenance reports. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions. Drive continuous improvement and best practices in water systems maintenance. Ensure optimal use of resources including manpower, materials, and equipment. Support and achieve Emiratization targets in coordination with the relevant division.
Requirements
Higher Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Water Resources Management, or a related field. Proven experience overseeing O&M activities in desalination and water distribution plants. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pumps, motors, and valves. Leadership skills to guide teams and enforce safety & quality standards. Skilled in maintenance planning, inspections, documentation, and performance reporting.
