About The Opportunity

Are you a detail-oriented and proactive accounting professional with a strong background in financial management and compliance? We are hiring an experienced Accountant to oversee day-to-day financial operations, inventory accounting, and statutory compliance for a reputed diamond and jewelry trading business in Dubai.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers Manage inventory accounting and perform regular stock reconciliations Handle accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations Support budgeting, financial forecasting, and month-end/year-end closing Ensure VAT and tax compliance in accordance with UAE regulations Conduct and assist with internal and external audits Ensure compliance with Kimberley Process and international trade standards Collaborate with management to provide financial insights and reports Draft professional correspondence and maintain confidentiality of financial data

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the diamond or jewelry industry Strong working knowledge of UAE tax laws, VAT, and financial regulations Proficiency in Tally, SAP, Oracle, or other major accounting software Excellent MS Excel and data analysis skills Strong English communication skills (written & verbal – non-negotiable) Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines Prior experience in the Middle East, ideally within Dubai, is mandatory

Preferred Skills

Experience with ERP systems Familiarity with UAE customs and international trade protocols Strong organizational and leadership skills Young, energetic professional (preferably between 28–40 years old) Chartered Accountant (CA) or semi-qualified CA background preferred
