Responsibilities
Conduct thorough examinations of histological and cytological specimens to identify disease processes Prepare and deliver detailed pathology reports, ensuring timely communication with healthcare providers Collaborate with clinical teams to discuss diagnostic findings and contribute to patient management plans Participate in continued education and professional development activities within the field Engage in departmental meetings and contribute to research initiatives Ensure compliance with laboratory standards, protocols, and quality assurance measures
Requirements
MD or DO degree with specialization in Pathology and board certification required Current, valid medical license in the state of practice A minimum of 4 years of experience in clinical pathology Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with meticulous attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment Commitment to ethical standards and ongoing professional development
