Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our Power Plant team. The role involves maintenance, overhaul, and inspection of large Steam Turbines, Industrial Gas Turbines, Desalination units (MSF type), High-Pressure Industrial Boilers, or related equipment. You will handle equipment independently, ensuring safe and efficient operations. Candidates should be familiar with rigging, precision tools, machinery alignment, and reading technical drawings. Pipe and structural fabrication experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and major overhauls of turbines, generators, pumps, compressors, fans, diesel generators, and high-pressure valves. Independently manage assigned tasks during overhauls and inspections. Align turbine & generator couplings or pump and motor couplings accurately. Assist in pipe and structural fabrication as needed. Read and interpret machine drawings and apply fits and tolerances in assembly. Follow industrial safety standards at all times. Communicate effectively in English with the team.
Requirements
High School / Trade School Certificate / Diploma.4 + years of relevant experience in power plants or industrial equipment maintenance. Strong understanding of machinery, rigging, measuring instruments, and precision tools. Experience in turbine, pump, or generator maintenance/overhaul. Ability to work independently and in a team, safety-conscious and reliable. Powerplant experience preferable but not mandatory
